I was asked to photograph Taylor's Prom, and I of course - said yes! Taylor has modeled for me a few times over the past two years, helped me out as an assistant, and at trade shows. She's very talented, and very beautiful. So much so, she has been asked to model for other photographer's.
The ceremony was for Simonds High School, class of 2012. It was so nice to see all the graduates - my how the gowns have changed over the years! Being a SHS graduate myself ( I won't divulge the year lol!), it was fitting the first prom I attended, was one I attended myself ... so many years ago!
Camera's? Oh yes!! A little bit of lens envy going around the Public Garden that night .... lots of local professional photographers were there that evening, as well as talent of all levels.
With so many people in the gardens that evening - it was a task all in it's own trying to get a nice image, when no one is in the background. This one was requested by Taylor and her family, and required a bit of editing - and removing people in the background. I used one of my top 3 favorite lenses for this shot (as so many people were also behind me), my wide angle 10-24mm.
Taylor was just stunning that evening! Small world, I used to sit beside her father, Darcy, in science class!
(Does that divulge my age??) He really hasn't changed that much - looking good Mr.B!
To all the grads, of all schools - good luck, congratulations - and pursue all your dreams!
