Some weddings I have this summer, are friends, or friends of friends. People I know well, or know a bit. People I have seen a bit maybe at various functions, through Facebook, or hear about in conversation with family and friends.
Then, I have people I have never met - total strangers who book me only because they have viewed and like my work.
Sarah and Jonathon are two of those people!
I am 110% into wedding mode myself this summer, with my wedding being less than 3 months away. So each wedding I do this summer I find I am trying to take that extra step - and go further. To up my game, and try new things. To take 'creative' and 'unique' and to apply it to each wedding. To not only be a part of their special day, but to give each bride and groom images that they will look happily upon, for years to come! Because as a bride-to-be myself - it would be what I want.
With SOOO many photographers out there, the most common phrase I hear this summer, when I ask (because I always do as I'm curious) - "Who did you book for a (wedding) photographer?" ... the answer, "oh a friend, they are starting to get into photography."
I have this sentence on my website : "After the music stops playing, the guests have gone home, the gifts are opened and all put away - all that will remain are memories and photographs." Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. One you have dreamed of since you were a little girl. Choosing a photographer to capture that special day should be a decision that you put careful time and research into.
Do you know it's consistently in the top 3 regrets of brides looking back on their wedding day? - Not having invested enough in their photographer? Again - invest doesn't mean only money. So when looking for a wedding photographer - look for a STYLE, and not just a PRICE. Invest the TIME into looking for a photographer - someone whom style you like. Every photographer has a certain look, style they shoot with - find what goes with you, and your day.
