I had this idea for a unique bridal show, of sorts, about a year ago. But between running my photography studio and building my business, spending time with family, and volunteering my time with different organizations - I just kept putting it off. I credit a lot of my success to my better half. He often gives me "the kick in the ass" I need, to get off my rear-end, and make my ideas happen. This is one of those times!
The idea - a yard sale or flea market of sorts, where only items for your fairytale wedding are being sold! A place where brides can sell their wedding gown or wedding décor - under one roof, on the same day, at the same location. A place where everyone shopping is seeking out only wedding day items - the perfect target audience!
And so, I created the "Ever After Event" - a Cinderella Sale of sorts .... where everyone gets a fairy godmother! There will be door prizes, treats, music, 50/50 draw with the proceeds donated to a local charity! And so much more .... please stop by Sunday, November 3rd from noon until 4:00 - whether your a bride, or bride-to-be!
Tables are $25 for an 8 foot round or rectangular table, fully skirted and with 2 chairs. If you need additional space for a dress rack or form, you can purchase extra space for $15.00. Exhibitor Space is limited and expected to sell out so book early. Tables are not reserved until payment has been received.
What can you sell? Here is just an idea: linens, table runners & ribbon, bridal jewellery & accessories, glassware & vases, table frames, table number holders, place card stands & other table décor, cake stands and toppers, candy buffet table items, photobooth items, bird cages, ring pillows, mason jars, easels, parasols, serving platters, etc.
When setting up your table - consider the way you decorate it. Use images from your own wedding day to highlight your items, and illustrate to potential brides-to-be how you used them! People are more likely to buy something when they can touch it, feel it, see it! See below on how to register and reserve a table.
No consignment fees - just the $5 / $10 registration fee!
Here's how it works:
1.) Register your dress or table at Natasha's One Stop Wedding Shop Monday through Thursday noon until 7:00 p.m. or Sunday noon until 5:00. Registration fee is cash only. Registration starts Wednesday, September 18th, and ends Wednesday, October 30th at 7 p.m.
2.) Set your price. Consider the age, brand name, and condition of your gown or items. Set your selling price at something that Brides can’t resist! Your selling price should be at least 50-60% off the original price - remember, brides are looking for a deal! And consider dry cleaning your dress if you haven't yet done so.
3.) Drop your dress off the day of our event between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Spend the afternoon with family, go shopping, relax while our team of wedding professionals assist eager brides-to-be with their search for the perfect gown!
OR, if you have a table, you can set your table up starting at 10:30 a.m.
4.) Come back between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. (if selling a dress) to see if your dress sold - and pick up either cash, or your gown! During the day, lots of brides will be hunting for the perfect gown to complete their fairy tale wedding. In the event your dress does not sell, I will pass along any names that are interested in buying your gown as well. I want to help you sell your dress!
Do you have images of your items? They can be posted to our fanpage on facebook, at no additional charge! Help promote your items, and to build excitement for our Cinderella Sale!
Don't have enough items to sell?
Do you have any wedding odds and ends that you want to get rid of? Donate them! We'll sell them for you!
We’ll sell them for the best price we can get and then donate the proceeds to Charity.
Any items that are not sold at the end of the day will be donated to the Salvation Army.
If you have any questions or comments - please do not hesitate to contact me!
I'm really looking forward to this event - it's going to be AMAZING!
