On Saturday, February 22nd I volunteered as a photographer for the "Coldest Night of the Year". A fundraising event to raise money and awareness for the hungry, hurting and homeless.
I was honoured to be a part of such a great event, and will be looking forward to participating in next year's event.

... I'm still laughing thinking about this session.
I took my sister to get her first tattoo, to the ever talented Marshall Mullin at Wize Guys before he and his beautiful wife Megan move to Halifax at the end of the month. I've been to Marshall several times, and we will definitely be making trips to Halifax to get more ink!
The ever popular question "Does it hurt?' - Yes. But, everyone is different. Not all people have the same level of pain tolerance, and what may hurt on one person - say a tattoo on a foot, may not hurt on someone else. But in the end - no matter what, if you want it - "IT'S SO WORTH IT!"
For her first tattoo, my sister wanted one on her foot. Apparently, that hurts a lot. All my tattoo's are on my arms (so far ...) She said, over and over "there will be NO TEARS" ... because I warned her they will laugh at you. (But, I was just kidding ... I'm her sister, I can still torment and tease her!)
The cloth she brought with her ... funny enough ,was to bite. She hid under it though most of the time. Not sure what that did for her ... ha ha ha ha.
I took pictures. I own a business. I'm a photographer. Your my little sister. ...... ummmm .
Yes, they WILL be on the internet. Duh.
This whole session was only about 12 minutes ... and there were no tears!
Marshall is amazing. So sad to see him leave SJ!
My favorite pic is this one ... she was so happy. And, yes - it was all worth it.
I asked her, would you do it again? Yep.
Guess that trip in the spring to see Marshall in Halifax will be for 3!
