Here are all my fur babies! Bella, the only female - our Merle Great Dane. Gambit, the all-american boy, our other Dane. Thor, our handsome Maine Coon Cat. Lee, our little black cat. And of course, Bailey .... who knows what he is! But we love them all.
My life for the last five years has been photography. So you would think that this should be no problem for me right? Especially seeing how they are all MY pets. Wrong. It was horrible!
You might as well had Gambit in a room full of squirrels and said "stay." That is how well behaved he was! His giant paws kept stepping on Bailey who started to growl, and poor Bella was being knocked over so she decided to laydown. This was the best I got.
The cats are indoor cats, and not only do they never go outside - they also don't wear a harness or a leash! So they weren't happy AT ALL! Although this location is close to my home, two howling cats in out van probably got poor Gambit all wound up to begin with!
If you happened to be around Spooner Island that day I was the crazy lady who seems my only vocabulary was Sit, Stay ... oh for shit's sake! Yep. Despite 5 years as a photographer I was way out of my league ..... but with the magic of photoshop and my ever patient little girls (who are all now in middle school) ... we got the job done.
And now that I can sit back and relax, I can laugh because I LOVE my pet portrait!!
Here's last year's pet portrait where they did all sit together!! And not only have We have grown by two fur babies, some of us in the picture have a few extra pounds .....
